Our Story

Lightex was founded by Antoine van Zyl while still in high school, driven by a passion for events and a love for creating memorable moments. What began as a small venture quickly grew into a trusted name in the event industry, known for quality equipment and reliable service.

In 2024, a new chapter began. Cobus joined the team at the start of the year, bringing fresh passion, creativity and an eye for detail. By the end of the year, Theo had joined as well, adding technical talent and a sharp understanding of event dynamics. After learning the ropes from Antoine, the pair officially took over Lightex in April 2025. Today, they continue to build on the company’s foundation with a modern approach and a deep commitment to every event they touch.
